We are a town centre church with a heart for serving our local community.  Our statement of purpose is to evangelise our community and beyond, to encourage people to become more Christ-like through discipleship and we are committed to meeting the needs of those inside and outside our walls through ministry. We value fellowship and will come before the Lord in obedience to worship Him.

‘Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am with them’ Matthew 18 verse 20

We often pray "Thy Kingdom come"... What do YOU envisage when you pray that prayer? What will it look like when God's Will is done on earth, as it is in heaven? In this video Rev Nicky Gumble and Archbishop Justin Welby seek to answer the question.

Archbishop of Canterbury
"We are praying more people will encounter Jesus and their lives will be changed."

It was a pleasure to speak with Nicky Gumbel from HTB Church about what it means to pray "Thy Kingdom Come".

Well, we had a great meeting last week and there was overwhelming enthusiasm that we should put the event on again this year! Yay!! 🎉🎇📣We are, in fact, so excited and so well organised that we've decided on the dates already! 😮 (Thank you, thank you...I can just hear the impressed ooh's and aah's... 😉 🙂 )
So, no excuse now...no holiday plans clashing etc. - 8-15 December 2018 is earmarked for the Bridgend Nativity! (Get out the diaries and make sure it's there in BIG LETTERS.)
We want as many people involved as possible, from as many churches across the Borough as we can get on board - so please spread the word.
If you are thinking about joining or just want some more information, please come along to our next meeting, which is planned for 6pm, Monday, 02 July 2018, at Tabernacl, Derwen Road. New faces are very welcome (as are the 'old' ones... :-p). Looking forward to seeing you all then.

"Today, there are over 663 million people living without a safe water supply close to home". A shocking figure! But Tim Darby and his team are changing these statistics for people in Northen Uganda. "BMS has drilled a borehole in Abwoch, and another in Pajaa, providing over 350 people with clean water, free from bacteria and infection." Praise God for this fantastic work and the difference it makes to the communities. In the space of just seven days, two boreholes were built in villages in northern Uganda, providing clean water to hundreds.

It's having a large impact, and it's transforming the community. Click the link below to read more.
